Part Time Medical Biller Job at Eastlake Cardiovascular PC
Medical Biller:
Large Cardiology practice seeking two experienced part time billers.
This position requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills and a customer service focus. Qualified candidates must be self motivated, well organized and a team player with a positive attitude. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH EPIC EMR.
Requirements of Position:
Checking eligibility and benefit verification for treatments and procedures.
Reviewing patient bills for accuracy, completeness and obtaining any missing information.
Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe.
Checking each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount.
Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments. Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurances.
Reviewing accounts for insurance of patient follow-up.
Researching and appealing denied claims.
Answering all patient or insurance telephone inquires pertaining to assigned accounts.
Checking eligibility and authorization and referral requirements for insurances.
Posting payments for patient and all major insurances.
Working payment vouchers along with follow up regarding rejections.
Must have CPT/ICD 10 knowledge
