Part Time Registered Nurse RN Job at Timber Ridge Treatment Center
Timber Ridge is a wilderness treatment center, designed to provide a 4 to 15 month program that rehabilitates at-risk boys between the ages of 12 and 17. We are located near the Uwharrie National Forest about 15 miles south of Salisbury, North Carolina. We currently have 40-45 boys divided into 6 groups.
We are in need of a Registered Nurse to provide several small, but vital functions at our facility an average of one day per week. You will be working closely with our full time Nursing Assistant.
We are looking for a RN to help with:
- providing a health assessment for new residents (similar to a physical)
- performing a weekly clinic with our groups (monthly vitals, addressing resident's complaints and minor injuries)
- administering and reading TB tests and flu shots
- periodically performing a medication administration training for employees who handle medication (we have the material already in place)
