We are in need of an individual for a PART-TIME, hybrid Security Officer & Front Desk position.

This is primarily a weekend and holiday position, with weekday fill-ins scheduled as needed. Weekend coverage is required. This is a hybrid position; The primary responsibilities include both ensuring the safety of our program, and, only when needed, providing additional clerical support, such as running our reception front desk, assisting patients with documentation, conducting safety trainings and drills, doing office cleaning, etc. On days when security is filling in as front-desk, there is another security officer present as well.

The ideal candidate is someone who is calm in the face of crisis, takes initiate, is flexible, is a strong team player, and is compassionate to the needs and struggles of others.

We are an Opioid Treatment Program in Erwin, NC. We offer Medication Assisted Treatment, which is a well researched, evidence based treatment approach for addiction to heroin and other opiates. Our medications include methadone and buprenorphine, and are administered for the purpose of decreasing the craving and withdrawal symptoms of opiate addiction. In addition to medication, group and individual counseling services are provided to enhance the recovery process.

Safety and Security Officer Responsibilities:

-Being familiar with and understanding the clinic's safety plan and evacuation procedures and carries out emergency procedures as necessary. Controls crowds as required within building.

-Opens the clinic and does an initial safety check of the property and building. Secures the clinic's entrances at the end of operating hours.

-Monitors hallways.

-Maintains and orders supplies.

-Picks up trash in parking lot.

-Sweeps halls and takes trash out as needed.

-Responsible for bank deposits.

-Responsible for FedEx drop off.

-Responsible for other duties required by Program Director.

-Responsible for the collection and daily reconciliation of the payment receipts, and the daily attendance sheet total.

-Responsible for keeping accurate records of each client's payment account.

-Responsible for greeting applicants and clients, notifying staff members when someone is waiting in the reception area, answering the telephone, assisting in the collection of observed urine specimens, and general clerical and filing duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Office Assistant Responsibilities:

-Checks in patient as they arrive.

-Verifies patients are dually enrolled with all clinics within a 75-mile radius.

-Directs patients for medications and counseling.

-Collects fees and prints receipts.

-Enters payments, post individual accounts daily to computer general ledger.

-Answers telephone, takes messages as appropriate.

-Assembles new charts and disassembles discharge charts and files with inactive charts.

-Responsible for filing documents in client charts.

-Keeps front office clean including lobby and hallways.

-Prepares daily deposit for bank.

-Observes organizational safety practices.

-Completes all training requirements.

-Other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

*Adheres to company standards of conduct as delineated on the statement of ethics signed during new employee orientation.*

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 1 year of security experience required. Experience working with mental health or addiction populations preferred. Experience working in medication assisted treatment preferred.

This is a part-time position with the possibility of graduating to full-time based on performance and clinic need. Full-time staff are benefits eligible.

Clinic Hours:

Monday - Friday: 5:30 am - 11:00 am. The security shift is approximately 5:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 am-9:00 am. The security shift is approximately 6:30 am - 9:30 am.
