Job Title – Parts and Service Associate

This is a career opportunity to work in a local retail business overseeing our small engine repair shop and power equipment department. Responsibilities include working directly with customers, salespersons (vendors), and other employees to provide quality customer service. Associate is responsible for initial receipt and inspection of equipment, creating, and tracking of shop orders throughout the repair cycle and for ordering, receiving, and stocking of parts needed for repairs. Other retail responsibilities include ordering, receiving, pricing, inventory control and stocking of power equipment and other related commodities for retail sales and assisting with basic repairs. Work area and retail space must be kept clean and organized. Pick-up and delivery of customer equipment needing repair is also a responsibility of this position.

Experience Requirements

· Minimum of one (1) year of retail experience.

· Valid driver’s license.

· Computer skills. Must be able to use Word, Excel and the Internet.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. independently.

· Assist with loading and unloading customer equipment.

Skill & Knowledge that are Preferred, but not Required.

· Customer service experience.

· Mechanical aptitude.

· Forklift operational experience and or certification.

· Experience with pulling a trailer.

Education Requirements

· High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Job Type

· Full-Time

Salary/Pay

· $13-$17.00 per hour depending upon experience.

Pay Frequency

· Bi-Weekly

Working Conditions and Shift

· Retail environment.

· Regular operating schedule: Monday – Friday (40 hours per week) 7:30am to 4:00pm.

· Saturdays as needed seasonally or as needed by the business.
