Patient Account Rep Job at Washington County Hospital and Clinics
SUMMARY
This position is responsible for billing and follow-up on all third party/insurance claims and ensures prompt and accurate reimbursement. Works with patients inquires to ensure knowledge and resolution of their insurance coverage.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)
- Complete timely claim submission for all payers.
- Recognize and resolves charging errors.
- Perform account follow-up in a timely manner.
- Complete accurate posting of remittance advises and patient payments.
- Respond to insurance and patient inquiries and correspondences in a timely manner.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- This position requires three years of business office experience or equivalency.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Proficient computer skills.
- Knowledge of third party billing requirements, reimbursement systems, and medical terminology.
- Effectively communicate and assist a wide array of customers in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Uses a logical approach to address problems or opportunities to manage the situation at-hand using references and resources as necessary.
- Explores options and alternatives to reach outcomes that gain acceptance of all parties.
- Thinks carefully about the likely effect on others of ones words, actions, appearance, and mode of behavior.
