BBSI is currently hiring Pattern Finishers for our manufacturing client in SE Portland.

Pattern Finishers prepare patterns for assembly and prepare soluble cores for pattern molding. These individuals work with wax patterns to ensure dimensional conformity and repair wax patterns and soluble cores to meet quality standards.

Pattern finishers are an integral part of the manufacturing process, and support the success of the company each day by performing tasks such as:

• Assembling pattern components and/or making dimensional alterations to patterns
• Fixing broken or damaged patterns and soluble cores to acceptable condition
• Working patterns and soluble core surfaces to meet visual inspection criteria
• Identifying patterns with specified serial pads and numbers

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about the manufacturing and production industry. Specifically, we're looking for indviduals with experience such as:

• Experience as a Wax Cleaner or a Wax Assembler OR equivalent combination of experience and training
• Working knowledge of cleaning techniques, methods, materials and tools and ability to use simple to moderately complex measuring devises and fixtures
• Ability to follow complex written and verbal instructions
• Good manual dexterity
• Ability to lift and/or maneuver objects weighing thirty to fifty pounds and occasionally up to one hundred twenty five pounds
• Ability to work in conditions which may include exposure to noise, fumes, crowding, abrasions, cuts, and chemicals
