POSITION PURPOSE: We are seeking a full-or part-time experienced insurance professional who has a passion to work with people. This person loves to talk on the phone, ask questions, and build relationships. The ideal candidate will bring a strong level of knowledge and experience in property and casualty insurance and believe in the value of teamwork. They will be responsible for handling service requests, and insurance inquiries and concerns with speed and professionalism through daily interaction with customers, insurance carriers, and fellow employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide service to existing clients related to updating policies, providing quotes, taking payments, answering questions, providing documentation
  • Answer incoming calls and correspondence regarding new or existing insurance policies and service claims
  • Review existing policies, review liability limits and exposures, explore other coverage needs, evaluate replacement costs, and round out accounts when talking with insureds
  • Confer with clients to provide detailed information about products and services, process renewals and/or cancel accounts, take payments, and provide requested documentation
  • Resolve product or service issues by clarifying the client's concern, determining the cause of the issue, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the issue, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution
  • Review policies; verify accuracy and facilitate corrections, as needed, between client and carrier
  • Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, comments, and actions taken in the agency management system
  • Collaborate with team members, provide expertise and answer questions, and participate in formal and informal meetings as needed

Personal lines insurance experienced is required for the ideal candidate and the ability to build relationships with clients, carrier and team members is a must.

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance products and usages, rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations to effectively manage, maintain, and write assigned clients and prospects.
  • Have excellent time management skills with a personal accountability mindset as well as technology and computer proficiency, including agency management systems, rating tools, and carrier website navigation.

LOCATION:
The ideal candidate will work in the Lake Elmo, MN office or a combination of onsite and remote. Fully remote employees who are qualified will be considered.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred
  • Property and Casualty Insurance License in good standing with state of residence
  • Minimum of 3 years property and casualty experience in personal lines insurance
The pay rate will vary depending on a candidate’s education, level of experience and industry.
