UW MEDICINE PHARMACY SERVICES has an outstanding opportunity for a FULL-TIME PHARMACY MANAGER - 340B PROGRAM. The UW Medicine 340B Program Manager reports to the Director, Pharmacy Business and Strategic Development and oversees all aspects of the 340B program for UWMC and HMC. This position is responsible for the day-to-day management, compliance review, and operations of clinic-administered medications in eligible locations, mixed-use areas managed by split-billing software, outpatient prescriptions fulfilled by an owned pharmacy, and outpatient prescriptions fulfilled by a contract 340B pharmacy. Participation in the 340B program allows UW Medicine pharmacies to procure drugs at discounted prices, which allows UW Medicine to offer financial and other patient support to underserved populations.
UW Medicine Pharmacy purchases over $250M of drugs annually and dispenses over 700,000 prescriptions to patients each month. The 340B Program Manager develops policies, audit plans and training to ensure that the covered entities procure discounted drugs in compliance with current regulatory guidance and UW Medicine policies. This position hires and provides day to day management of the 340B program and 340B audit staff. This role requires extensive knowledge of 340B Program Compliance, pharmacy drug procurement, contract pharmacy management, 340B software systems, and audit procedures.
This position serves as the operations manager and liaison for 340B-related matters in conjunction with the Director for UWMC-Montlake, Northwest, and Harborview Medical Center. The 340B Program Manager is responsible for creating operation plans, quality improvements, and creating 340B workflow processes. This position acts as the liaison with affiliated departments to ensure 340B Program integrity. The 340B Program Manager will be an influential change agent in shaping the long-term goals and utilization of 340B services.
