Pharmacy Technician Job at Ampla Health
GENERAL PURPOSE:
Provide patient-centered care to meet the needs of the community with a focus on special populations. Working alongside our healthcare providers, we have taken an integrated approach to providing pharmacy services with the upmost quality care.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Fill prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist
- Take incoming calls for patient prescription refills
- Maintain inventory of prescription medications separating 340B vs retail inventory. Enter the inventory received from wholesaler into the computer system to maintain accurate on-hand counts and pricing.
- Various clerical duties, clean and maintain pharmacy work areas
- Maintain prescription records in appropriate files and check medicines for expiration dates
- Call patients to schedule medication deliveries
- Maintain current pharmacy technician certification and ensure relevant certificates are submitted to HR Department
- Comply with ethical standards
- Perform of daily business operations through accuracy of work and compliance with regulations
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, and comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations
Customer Service
Great customer service skills.- Ability to multi-task, especially in a busy work environment.
- Consistently punctual in reporting to work and to and from work breaks.
- Maintain a good attendance record, keeping absenteeism at a minimum.
- Regular attendance of team meetings and participate in mandatory in-service training.
- Demonstrate self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrate the ability to comply with established policies and procedures
- Demonstrate good time management in the completion of job functions.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment.
- Observe work hours and time clock regulations.
