IMPACT ON OUR BUSINESS

The Photo Studio Dresser will organize, prepare and style a wide range of merchandise to be photographed for print & web use. This individual will formulate and maintain overall style and quality while managing daily production for maximum efficiency.

INTERACTION

• Reports to Photo Studio Production Supervisor.
• Interaction with Studio Director, Photographers, Multi-Channel Designer and Merchandise Coordinators.
• Interaction with Freelance personnel including, stylists, models, photographers and hair and make-up artists.

EXPECTATIONS FOR SUCCESS

• Communicate with Lead Photographer to understand and effectively execute photographic objectives and ensure proper visual representation of the brand.
• On set at all times unless prepping takes precedence, maintaining apparel styling for each shot and keeping a watchful eye on apparel as model moves.
• Run pre-production and walkthroughs as necessary, gathering product in advance of shoot day, prepping when possible, and reviewing any purchase needs with Studio Director.
• Maintain professional atmosphere in studio and on location bringing innovation to high volume photographic workflows.
• Report to Photo Studio Production Supervisor at end of shoot to receive schedule updates and review next day production.
• Shepherd and care for samples throughout the photo process maintaining vendor packaging, sku tags and apparel tags.
• Packing and prepping of and responsibility for all merchandise, accessories and props in studio and on location as well as their return after shoot.
• Working in tandem with on set Photo Studio Director/ Photo Studio Production Supervisor to create and implement a daily production schedule while on location.
• Other duties & responsibilities as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervise freelance and models
• Partner with merchandise/production coordination team

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must have ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must have full body rotation (i.e., bending, stooping, twisting, etc.)
• Able to be outside in Florida weather 12 months out of the year, as needed for location shoots.
• Must be able to see and distinguish color.

KEY ATTRIBUTES

• High school diploma

• 1+ years styling experience freelance or for a production studio, preferably with an emphasis in fashion
• Background in art, design, fashion, merchandising or photography
• Flexibility and patience with the ability to accommodate last minute additions to schedules and changes in direction
• Ability to work with a team to accomplish deadlines and production efficiency

• Strong communication skills and excellent ability to work with a wide variety of people
• Proven ability to prioritize & manage multiple tasks
• Strong attention to detail
• Pro-active & a self-starter
• Basic computer skills. Some experience with Microsoft Excel preferred
