The Physical Therapy Assistant performs physical therapy treatment to patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. They perform and advance treatment within an established treatment plan provided by the supervising Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant shall perform these duties observing prescribed safety precautions, and preserving the rights of their patients. The Physical Therapist Assistant is expected to communicate effectively with their patients, supervising therapist, physicians, staff, and families.
Associates of Arts Degree from an accredited PTA program Current PTA license issues by the Kansas Board of Healing Arts Current BLS certification for CPR proficiency and AED use
