POSITION SUMMARY: Job at Effingham County Health Department
Serves prenatal mothers and families with children birth to three utilizing the Parents as Teachers Model, providing learning activities, developmental parenting information and connections to community resources through personal visits in the home. The primary goal of services is to support and enhance positive parent-child interactions for developmental growth and learning. Consultants partner with the parent identifying parent strengths and building on current parenting knowledge. Consultants plan and implement one to two parent workshops/events per year. Required documentation of all program requirements in online database system. ECC offers a continuous learning environment with annual professional development. Travel required throughout Effingham County.
