The Production Manager ensures that the manufacturing of the aluminum framing and glazing products meet or exceed the quality, efficiency, and on time delivery expectation of the company standards. In addition, the Production Manager ensures that the facilities and processes conform to the OSHA, ICC, UL, & NFRC standards by strictly following the quality management system and its appropriate documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Advocates for facility safety and process adherence.
  • Inspects machinery daily for proper usage and guarding.
  • Accurately reports all floor changes and corrections on shop orders.
  • Actively participates in cross training activities with the framing & glazing fabrication team to ensure the process can flow for a period of two weeks or more in the absence of a supervisor.
  • Oversees all aspects of proper packaging and crating of framing & glazing.
  • Communicates with all department employees on a daily basis & follow up on open issues.
  • Provides performance feedback and coaches employees.
  • Issues timely disciplinary action in accordance with the established guidelines.
  • Coordinates processes and materials within the facility to ensure on-time delivery as outlined in the facility schedule.
  • Focuses efforts on continuous improvement in conjunction with the Plant Manager.
  • Provides recommendations and conducts yearly reviews of all direct reports in joint effort with the Plant Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Supervisory Responsibility

Oversight of all teammates assigned to the framing & glazing departments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 3-5 years of progression in a production supervision roll, preferably in the manufacturing of raw materials to finished goods setting.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge and experience in safely operating saws, notching, drilling, and other fabricating machinery.
  • Ability to use and understand basic measuring instruments.
  • Ability to count accurately and record production data.
  • Ability to safely and effectively operate an electric or propane-powered sit-down forklift, and overhead crane is a plus, though not required.

5. Ability to reach within hands and arm’s length, stoop, kneel, and crouch.

6. Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
