Position Overview:

The Production Manager is responsible for the company's production operations, including assembly, quality control, painting and warehouse. Implement company guidelines, policies and procedures; business and personnel activities. The Production Manager is responsible for supervision, training, motivation and evaluation of personnel within the production area.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Operates department to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Directs assembly, quality control, warehouse, and painting personnel relative to meeting company goals.
  • Reviews production reports, tracks labor usage, schedules work orders to meet company goals.
  • Analyzes and reviews practices to ensure compliance with established Company procedures and policies.
  • Maintenance of a safe, clean and orderly department.
  • Participates in the selection of new employees and training, development, motivation and evaluation of current employees.
  • Ensure customers questions, concerns and complaints are addressed in an expeditious manner.
  • Makes customer, dealer and other branch contacts on regular basis.
  • Responsible for managing accuracy, timeliness and control of documents to ensure timely customer delivery and invoicing.
  • Participate in production decisions.
  • Develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures for production operations and ensure standard operating procedures are abided to and followed.
  • Ensure that production is cost effective; determine quality control standards.
  • Supervise all production operations such as machining, processing and assembly.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely fashion.
  • Coordinate the production aspects of the product, including production, schedules and milestones.
  • Establish and maintain production schedule for each product to meet deadlines.
  • Document and improve the production product development process.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in managing staff and department operations.
  • Management process; budgeting, safety, policy implementation and personnel.
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills, to work effectively with others to motivate employees, elicits work output and develops teamwork.
  • Ability to organize and effectively.
  • Planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to act decisively.
  • Problem solving capabilities.

Education & Experience:

  • Collage graduate or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or 5 to 10 years of progress manufacturing experience and responsibility preferred.
  • 2 – 5 years’ of supervisory experience.
  • Completion of recommended Company training programs
  • Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management.
  • Experience in supervising, coaching and developing staff.
