Job Purpose

The Production Scheduler develops the master production plan for the assigned production areas to satisfy customer demand. The master plan must be completed with area supervisors to maximize the effective efficiency of manpower and machine capabilities to achieve the maximum velocity of the part to the customer.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Utilizes the sales forecast/feedback and internal supply constraints to develop production plans for the assigned production areas.

• Works to provide weekly production schedules to appropriate production supervisors by work center.

• Works cohesively with peers to achieve the weekly plan and track lost time.

• Analyzes and identifies risks associated with the options built into the plan including available resources and lead-times.

• Assists (when requested) in making delivery commitments

• Works with supervisors to execute the production plan on a weekly basis, insuring they have enough work to load their work resources.

• Monitors actual output versus the Master Production Plan to identify gaps and drive solutions including metrics on production performance to schedule completion report.

• Updates Master Production Plan as necessary.

• Works toward on time delivery, lead time reduction, to meet customer ship dates

Required Skills/Experience

Experience in production environment highly preferred.

Experience in scheduling in precision machining and/or production environment highly preferred.

Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, preferred.

Experience and understanding of systems generated workflows is highly preferred.

Advanced MS Office user (Excel, etc.) is expected.
