Our client has been proudly serving clients for over 100 years. They specialize in iron-casted safety equipment for automobiles, industrial machinery, and the trucking industry. They are a staple of the Reedsburg community and are looking to fill a current need for a Production Scheduler/Control Coordinator for their facility. This role will focus on planning and scheduling the various production departments within the foundry, taking into consideration production constraints, customer delivery requirements and operating efficiencies.

Some specific functions include;

• Assemble daily production schedules of core, mold, pouring and finishing departments, coordinating all factors to maximize production capability.
• Modify the master schedule daily to reflect customer order revisions and production capabilities.
• Maintain constant contact with production departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of work.
• Determine production hours needed for backlog and notify supervisor if overtime or reduced schedules are required.
• Assist in planning workloads for pattern, corebox and other production tooling repair centers.
• Compile backlog information and other data from master schedules for use in shop planning meetings as required.
• Maintain contact with the Shipping Department to notify of daily production and shipping requirements.
• Handle customer inquiries regarding order status and delivery concerns.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in Production Control Environment preferred but will consider candidate with similar skill set.
• Good computer application skills, specifically Microsoft Office, BLIS, Odyssey and database systems.
• Highly motivated and self-managed individual.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and phone etiquette.
