This Full-Time position is 36 hours per week and has a starting hourly wage of $16.08/hour.

Functioning as a Supervisor, under the direction of the Associate Director of Community Supports, this position ensures person-centered-services are provided to program participants. This position is responsible to provide oversight to the daily operation of assigned programs by ensuring participant and program needs are identified and addressed. This position directly supervises direct support professionals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Maintain communication with the Associate Director to assure scheduling and staffing meet the needs of the program.
  • Manage associate performance by establishing clear goals and expectations, providing timely feedback and addressing performance issues promptly.
  • Provide direction and guidance with personnel issues including recruitment, retention, and associate relations within assigned program oversight areas.
  • Support, coach, monitor, and provide direct supervision and training within assigned program oversight areas.
  • Ensure Chain of Command is followed when necessary and instructions are followed as stated in policy and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • The person in this position has effective and well-developed communication skills.
  • The person in this position has Intermediate Microsoft Word skills, including the ability to create moderately complex documents containing tables and graphs, and is able to mail merge documents, print labels and envelopes.
  • The person in this position has Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to enter and sort data and produce graphs.
  • The person in this position trains and guides associates regularly.
  • The person in this position attends committee meetings as well as (in some cases) fiscal and safety oversight meetings on a monthly basis and training sessions as scheduled.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Over two (2) years’ experience working in a supervisory capacity required.
  • Over two (2) years’ experience in the field of developmental disabilities required.
