What you will do?

As the Program Director you will be dedicated to executing the specific Administrative duties of the Recruitment, Retention, Training and Support (RRTS) program in the eastern Iowa service area. Specific duties of this position include:

  • Ensure staffs provide assigned recruitment, retention, training, and support responsibilities that meet state contract and Four Oaks goals and deliverables.
  • Ensure the staff are trained in and follow at all times, the DHS Model of Practice, the Family Centered Model of Practice, Guiding Principles, and the Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Service Standards.
  • Take all steps necessary to ensure implementation and performance of the One Caseworker Model.
  • Implement policies and strategies to encourage staff retention.
  • Develop and lead a positive staff culture including a cohesive team that supports agency mission, goals, and values.
  • Ensure staff members are trained to assess a Foster/Adoptive Family’s cultural responsiveness.
  • Ensure that cases are provided with supervisory support.
  • Supervise staff on quality & timeliness of service provision & documentation.
  • Coordinate and meet with community and collateral agencies.
  • Manage program revenues and expenditures to achieve fiscal targets.
  • Monitor regulatory, licensing, certification, and accreditation standards to assure compliance.
  • Use data to continuously improve program operations, service delivery quality, and program efficiencies in collaboration with Four Oaks Quality Improvement Department.
  • Perform a range of functions, including hiring, establishing expectations, performance tracking and supervisory feedback, and employee relations.
  • Direct all work from assigned area to assure that unit goals are achieved.
  • Interpret operational policies & procedures for assigned staff.
  • Keep staff informed of Four Oaks Enterprise annual goals, initiatives, and accomplishments.
  • Complete probationary and annual employee performance reviews within timelines.

What you need:

This position shall possess a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Family Therapy, Sociology, Psychology, or related area of Human Services, business or public administration, and a minimum of two years experience in a social services agency. A Master’s Degree in any of these fields is preferred. Additional requirements include:

  • Ability to be self driven/reliant and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational, work flow, and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to show empathy/compassion to build trust based relationships.
  • Demonstrated understanding of compliance requirements for regulatory, training and documentation in residential care facility.
  • Proven track record of creating a positive, outcome-oriented culture for all staff members.
  • Effective developmental, planning, and analytical abilities.
  • Clear understanding or Enterprise practices, systems, goals, and performance expectations.
  • Superior written & verbal communication skills.
