Summary of Job Duties:
The MS Program Facilitator will coordinate and deliver CI Emotional Wellbeing/Life Skills programming to Dunbar and Cloverdale Middle Schools and CI youth virtually & in person using a locally adapted version of the Turning Point curriculum that focuses on helping youth develop and apply essential self-calming skills through monthly workshops. Workshops involve interactive, engaging activities, journal reflections, and self-practice challenges.

The MS Program Facilitator will work under the supervision of & report to the Program Coordinator (Middle School) to help provide quality programming to middle school students participating in the school based program at Dunbar & Cloverdale Middle Schools and community based programming at the CI office or virtually. The MS Program Facilitator will be part of the UA- Little Rock Children International Program team. The Candidate must be available from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on select Monday-Thursdays. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Qualifications:
Required Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma plus previous work or volunteer experience facilitating youth in a group setting;
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
  • Enrolled in higher education with 2 years of experience in youth facilitation and some experience in clerical work.
Job Duties and/or Responsibilities:
  • Manage school-based delivery schedules with partners;
  • Facilitate and lead virtual & in-person emotional wellbeing & life skills session with middle school students;
  • Attend training on self-calm curriculum and age-appropriate facilitation techniques;
  • Family engagement (calls);
  • Recordkeeping, data entry, and additional administrative tasks;
  • Support program content development and delivery;
  • Adhere to the agency’s policies on Child Protection, Code of Conduct, and positive behavior management;
  • Be actively engaged with students at all times;
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • At least 18 years of age;
  • Must have a stable internet connection and access to Zoom and Microsoft Teams;
  • Energetic and passionate about being a role model for all youth and children;
  • Ability to facilitate and supervise middle school students;
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills;
  • Spanish helpful;
  • Must be available between 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on select Monday-Thursdays for the duration of the 2022-2023 school year;
  • Must be able to pass background checks.
