SUMMARY
The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking contracted services to assist in providing program support duties to provide assistance to program managers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:

  • Provides program analyst support services for programs within the directorate currently including fleet, housing, safety, environmental management, facility management funding, project management, lands, and administration.
  • Writing, editing, and processing correspondence, forms and reports
  • Creating forms and templates
  • Developing presentations regarding program specific information
  • Data entry, tracking, and reporting within database systems
  • Training coordination for division, directorate or region
  • Coordination and documentation of regional project work session meetings
  • Tracking and coordination of audit programs
  • Website and intranet site creation and maintenance including section 508 accessibility compliance
  • Records management for program specific information
  • Providing guidance to parks or other divisions
  • Performs other job-related duties.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
No supervisory/management authority.
EDUCATON AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree is required and a minimum of 2 years of high level executive administrative and/or program support experience in a federal government setting is preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of office management principles, practices, and procedures, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of advanced functions of variety computer software and the ability to use and integrate these software packages to develop the desired results.
  • Must be an effective team worker with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and other software knowledge i.e., SharePoint is required.
  • Reliability, critical thinking and the ability to be proactive to work effectively and independently in a professional environment is mandatory.
  • Successfully pass a federal background check and a drug screen.
  • Cherokee Federal employees are included as covered employees in U.S. Presidential Executive Order 14042, which mandates Covid vaccines for federal contractors. Executive Order 14042 is currently blocked from enforcement pending court proceedings. Therefore, Cherokee Federal is halting the application of the mandate; however, if the injunction is lifted, Cherokee Federal will restore administration of the vaccine requirement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office environment.
Estimated Starting Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 annually
