PROJECT MANAGER
Job description

General Summary

This is a full-time Project Manager surveyor position performing various survey calculations as well as sign and sealing survey drawings. The ideal candidate would have extensive experience with Platting, Boundary Analysis, ALTA/NSPS Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Construction Calculations/Layout, ROW Surveys, and Legal Descriptions and Quality Control for Signed Surveys.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

· Oversee various types of surveying activity, including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, subdivision, construction stakeouts, etc.

· Perform various survey calculations, provide oversight and good quality control practices on client deliverables and sign/seal finished survey drawings

· Adhere to the principles and practices of the Professional Land Surveying Practices Act, and have responsible charge over all survey activity

· Prepare and supervise preparation of all survey data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys

· Interpret and verify the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations

· Research legal records, survey records, and land titles to obtain property information

· Write descriptions of surveys for use in deeds, leases, or other legal documents

· Attend various meetings, seminars and/or training classes, most of which could be attended remotely

· Maintain excellent client relations and provide quality customer service

· Maintain appropriate file saving techniques to ensure the ability to reuse and retain files as required

· Receive, review, and return internal documents as requested on a timely basis, obtaining required authorizations to record billable hours and/or expenses for work performed.

· Work with field and drafting teams to problem solve, and address surveying issues that may arise in daily operations

QUALIFICATIONS | SKILLS

Education, Licenses and Certifications

· Bachelor’s Degree (Required)

· Driver’s License (Required)

Knowledge and Experience

· Well versed in the concepts, principles, theories, and methods used in professional land surveying

· Minimum 5 years of Land Survey experience

· AutoCAD Civil3D

· Lateral and logical thinking with problem solving and analysis

· Attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential requirements.

· Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Project, Civil3D, etc.) and confidence with new technology

· Attention to detail, strong work ethic and team-player attitude.

· Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to maintain composure under pressure, interact routinely with others face-to-face, by telephone, and through other communication methods using active listening skills and excellent teamwork.

· Ability to work with others in a group or team, and the ability to remain flexible despite interruptions and/or routine changes to priorities and/or job duties.

Physical Demands

A Project Manager must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time paying close attention to detail. The work environment does not require much physical movement. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit.

Availability

This is a full-time remote position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00a.m. to 4:30p.m., overtime and weekends as required.
