Purchasing Administrative Coordinator Job at Rural King

The purpose of the Purchasing Coordinator is to support the VP of Merchandise Operations, Space Planning, and the Purchasing Divisions with meeting deadlines, managing reporting, and other clerical needs.

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Assist in managing Marketing and Space Planning Deadlines.

· Assist in event planning and vendor communication.

· Support Space Planning in managing and updating Playbooks and POG calendar.

· Create, prepare, and deliver reports to various departments.

· Receive and forward communication to different staff and departments.

· Organize meetings and meeting schedules.

· Perform clerical duties, such as responding to emails and assisting with vendor queries.

· Assist buyers by preparing competition price comparisons and creating vendor agreements.

· Assist Replenishment Analysts in new store orders and follow up.

· Assist VPs on follow up reporting.

· Assist with travel schedules for Buyers, Replenishment Analysts, and Planners.

· Prepare vendor letters for product reviews and line reviews.

· Ensure meeting rooms and other meeting spaces are prepared prior to use.

· May be required to cross train and perform other duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

· At least 2 years of administrative experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

· Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.

· Excellent customer service skills.

· Strong understanding of retail business practices.

· Demonstrated ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Demonstrated behaviors must reflect integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

· Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

· Must be able to access and navigate each department across facilities.
