The Simon & Sylvia Zisman Seashore Gardens Living Center is an independent, nonprofit home for the aged in Galloway, NJ. We offer a continuum of services from assisted living to short- and long-term nursing care, Alzheimer’s care, respite care and rehabilitation all under one roof. Guided by Jewish tradition, and dedicated to enriching elder lives, we have proudly served our community for more than 100 years.
We are currently seeking a Part-Time Purchasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience ordering medical supplies. The purchasing is responsible for identifying suppliers, researching goods and services, processing purchase orders, and verifying delivered items.
Purchasing Agent Responsibilities:
- Researching and comparing suppliers, goods, and services.
- Selecting the most suitable suppliers in terms of reliability, product quality, and cost-efficiency.
- Receiving and distributing supplies to appropriate departments.
- Monitoring inventory levels and determining purchase needs.
- Maintaining storage and supply rooms.
- Requesting cost proposals and negotiating contracts and prices.
- Preparing and processing purchase orders.
- Maintaining records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments.
- Scheduling and verifying purchase deliveries.
- Building and maintaining positive, long-term supplier relations.
Seashore Gardens requires employees to have a current flu shot, in addition to Covid vaccination, barring medical/religious exemption.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
