Overview:
AMERISAFE is seeking a detail-oriented, productivity driven professional to add to our “Excellence Team” based in DeRidder, LA. The Quality Assurance Tester performs tasks to deliver applications and systems that meet requirements with minimal defects, provide expected functionality, maximize reliability and enforce appropriate security.
Qualifications:
- Relevant technical education or equivalent combination of training/work experience
- Knowledge of IT concepts and hands-on work experience with business applications
- Ability to recognize problems, develop recommendations and implement solutions
- Ability to read and understand complex technical publications and documentation
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated excellent organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated basic computer skills including MS Office tools
- Demonstrated customer-service orientation and attitude
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and high-pressure environment
- Willing to occasionally work extended hours as necessary
- Participates in all phases of testing including research, design, execution and reporting in accordance with change management and IT department policies
- Writes test cases including but not limited to functional, load and regression testing
- Performs testing of software releases, and documents and communicates results
- Performs testing of computer hardware, and documents and communicates results
- Participates in issue research and other troubleshooting as it concerns system quality
- Updates documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance or completeness
- Contributes to process improvement initiatives related to quality assurance
