Quality Control Inspector Apprentice Job at Four Seasons Produce, Inc.
Schedule during apprenticeship: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. After completion of the apprenticeship the position will be 2nd shift Sunday - Thursday 12:00 pm - 10:00 pm.
Job Responsibilities:
- Through on-the-job training, learn how to properly assess and inspect inbound and/or stored product according to Four Seasons Produce, Inc. procedures and methods
- Communicate effectively with internal business partners to provide information needed to make good business decisions and maintain the company’s standards for quality and consistency
- Build knowledge of how to reduce product shrink through proper education, training and accountability
- Work collaboratively with QC staff to learn and support departmental goals and maintain high quality standards for both internal and external customers
- Successfully complete all required knowledge and skill assessments
- Demonstrate consistent growth in knowledge, skills, efficiencies, and quality of work
- Operate equipment safely, follow safe work practices, maintain a safe work area, and adhere to food safety policies
Qualifications:
- 1 year of produce operations experience preferred
- Ideally, knowledge of Four Seasons Produce, Inc. operations
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software programs
- Must be able to distinguish colors for grading produce and have keen attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to effectively, plan, prioritize, and make sound decisions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism at all times
