Quality Data Abstractor - Quality and Outcomes Management Job at Keck Medical Center of USC
As an integrated part of the Quality and Outcomes Management, the Quality Data Abstractor, provides coordination of data abstraction on established quality measures. Selected quality indicators will be abstracted from the medical records concurrently; other indicators/measures and or audits will be performed retrospectively.
The hourly rate range for this position is $25.00 - $39.69. Minimum Education: Associate's degree Degree in a related field Additional Education Requirements Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education Minimum Experience: 1 year Acute care facility or large organization utilizing medical terminology. Minimum Skills: Data processing, Health information system. Excellent working knowledge of acute care demographics, clinical data elements, statistical analysis and data entry. Must be detail oriented. Excellent skills in use of personal computer software programs including but not limited to MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Must be well-organized and work independently with minimal direction. Required Certifications: Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only) Preferred Education: Specialized/technical training LVN or Health information management degree\certifications. Preferred Certifications: Licensed Vocational Nurse - LVN (CA DCA) LVN or Health information professional with certification in a related area of data entry or statistics.
