JOB DUTIES:

Responsible for review and auditing medical records for compliance purposes and code integrity, including the following:

1. Responsible for reviewing medical records and ensuring their compliance with HEIDIS measures.

2. Establish patients prior to appointments and review charts to identify any screenings that are needed or not being met.

3. Responsible for new patient check-out capitation enrollment and schedule appointments for new patients.

4. Responsible for chart auditing and for auditing a high volume of medical records to ensure correct and appropriate code assignment.

5. Responsible for completing all incentive program requirements for the IPA/Health Plan Incentive Program.

  • Submit IPA/Health Incentive program data to Managed Care for review and final submission.
  • Understand CPT and DX Coding.

6. Responsible for extracting reports of missing measures from each of CCCHC’s health plans/IPAs to research if any measures are needed for patients.

7. All other duties as assigned.

8. Consistently demonstrate and uphold CCCHC’s principle of providing quality health and human services to the medically underserved and low-income populations in a culturally sensitive manner.

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written form and verbally in Spanish and English.
  • Ability to plan and be organized.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information and Company records.
  • Ability to work effectively with both employees and managers with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to convey a positive and professional image to patients and employees.
  • Must be able to operate computer and office equipment and software.
  • Ability to work with people of diverse cultures and diverse socioeconomic situations.
  • Current CA Driver License.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English).
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Experience with e-Health or similar billing software desirable.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply ad divide in all units of measure.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain composure under conditions of urgency and/or time constraint.
  • Ability to handle and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and governmental regulation.
