Job Description

SUMMARY: The Recruiting Specialist will develop and implement strategies to manage all phases of the recruiting life cycle. Utilizing a wide range of resources, including various social media platforms and web-based technology, to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates and find the best employees for the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Manage job posting and advertisement processes.
  • Screens applications, select qualified candidates, assists with the interview process &/or attend interviews with hiring managers as needed.
  • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Guide candidates through the application, interview, and onboarding process.
  • Collaborate with the hiring manager and/or other stakeholders during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Attend and participate in job fairs and recruiting sessions.
  • Maintain a network of candidates for future vacancies.
  • Explores social media platforms and build a strong network to communicate job vacancies into right niches present in online media.
  • Analyze the recruitment process, strategies, and trends to recommend improvements or changes.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Excellent analytical skills to examine resumes and find the best-suited candidates.
  • In-depth knowledge using web-based technology and various social media platforms for recruitment.
  • Strong negotiation skills when discussing terms and conditions of employment.
  • In-depth knowledge of utilizing social media to attract a diverse pool of candidates.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • High level of professionalism and professional appearance
  • Excellent time management skills with a ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, business, or related discipline preferred
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of HR or Recruitment experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience, or training may be considered.
