· DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Be the maintenance subject matter expert. Ensure that all the maintenance personnel on the shift are trained and in compliance with required qualification to operate equipment relevant to their position.

· Supervises and oversees the shift to achieve departmental quality, quantity, service, cost and safety goals.

· Coordinates, writes, and monitors the departmental preventative maintenance program to assure equipment is properly maintained to minimize downtime and meet OSHA requirements.

· Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on equipment and plans for and takes corrective action.

· Reviews production schedule and when equipment is not scheduled, performs scheduled maintenance.

· Works with outside contractors for repair or revision to equipment or facility.

· Instructs / supervises training of employees in the performance of their job in a safe and efficient manner.

· Initiates and maintains accurate records and reports (i.e., daily reports, purchase orders, injury reports, and special projects). Track labor, downtime, and report daily to management.

• Maintain schedules, time sheets, PM’s and generate work orders for the maintenance team.
• Schedule PIP files and PIP work. Maintain up to date equipment records and safety notes.
• Set goals for maintenance personnel and assist them in accomplishing objectives.
• Assist mechanics in solving repair issues and prioritizing assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· HS diploma, plus technical education or equivalent to 5 years documented experience in an industrial maintenance related field. A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience

· Must have a good understanding of HVAC, Ammonia Refrigeration, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems

· Ability and knowledge of gauges, measurements, proper use of tools, & machine blueprint reading

• Experience in computerized maintenance systems with Ammonia/Industrial refrigeration / mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Must be willing to work on and support other shifts and weekends as needed..
