Resources Coordinator Job at Urban League of Portland
Department: Health and Seniors Department
Reports to: Senior Director of Health and Senior Services
Classification: 1 (FTE), Exempt, Full-time, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am-5:00 pm
Monday through Friday with some evenings and weekends. Eligible for telecommuting. Local travel required.
The Resource Coordinator will focus on conducting community outreach and building relationships with diverse clients, groups, and organizations in addition to informing the public about programs and resources that promote the Urban League of Portland. People in this career divide their time between administrative tasks and interaction with the community
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contributes to the Urban League?s mission, commitments, goals, and to the team effort by performing the following duties with an elevated level of integrity and professionalism:
- Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and friendly manner
- Welcome visitors in a warm and friendly manner, and answer any questions visitors have
- Maintain reception area and various locations and all common areas in a clean and tidy manner at all times
- Conducting searches to find needed information, using sources such as the Internet.
- Maintaining records and files for the program
- Planning and scheduling program events
- Create and deliver community outreach and education presentations, workshops, and training.
- Assist with the case management referrals
- Conduct phone interviews for potential services
- Reassurance calls to clients
- Assist with resource applications
- Contribute to the overall agency efforts by completing other duties as assigned.
