Duties of this position primarily include:

1. Analysis of financial statements and preparation of financial models

2. Preparing analyses of financial information to assess trends and fluctuations that may impact cash flow requirements and deal valuation

3. Helping clients with issues which may include out of court workouts, debt restructurings, turnaround management, and bankruptcy emergency planning

4. Performing complicated audits and research into the fraud, waste, and misuse of funds

5. Managing and prioritizing multiple projects

6. Preparing pitch books and background information on distressed companies

7. Performing other duties and special projects as needed

Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, Certificates:

1. A bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, business, economics, or related discipline, (an MBA, CPA or CPA candidate is a plus).

2. 2-4 years of experience in corporate finance or accounting

3. Strong writing ability

4. A team player mindset, with an ability to excel in a fast-paced working environment

5. The ability to prioritize demanding multiple projects

6. The ability to identify and understand the key operational performance drivers of a business

7. The ability to extract helpful information from sets of unorganized or incomplete data

8. Problem solving skills that could provide alternative explanations to intricate issues

9. Proficiency in the use & analysis of computer models and the development of dynamic spreadsheet applications

10. Strong technical accounting skills with knowledge of GAAP

11. High proficiency with PC systems and related software, especially Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

12. Familiarity with financial research tools (e.g., Capital IQ, Bloomberg, etc.)

13. A strong aptitude for qualitative and quantitative analysis and the ability to connect business strategy to performance and due diligence findings

14. A willingness to travel as required.
