DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Receive inbound calls for quotation of eligible products, provide those quotes, answer related questions and issue policies if the quote is accepted.
  • Referral of client and/or contact information to the local county office for handling by local Sales staff if the client cannot be quoted or issued by the SCC.
  • Utilize appropriate scripting and responses as indicated by customer information to either quote, refer or decline to quote as indicated by company guidelines
  • Referral of non-typical customer issues to supervisor of SCC Rep II as needed.
  • Record, monitor and document prospect and customer interactions in appropriate systems
  • Attend initial and ongoing technical training and professional development sessions.
  • Issue Personal Lines insurance policies in accordance with insurance regulations and company guidelines.
  • Handle routine correspondence from the home office.
  • Perform in a manner that will prevent errors and omissions in the placement of Personal Lines insurance
  • Present a professional appearance, demeanor, and behavior both in person and over the phone.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Strive to attain company goals and growth expectations.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Conduct marketing activities in support of local offices as directed. Examples:
    • Development of individual county lead and prospect lists as directed
    • Quote past unsuccessful PPA prospects using data and leads lists
    • Outgoing email and telephone marketing as directed by management
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must either have a valid Georgia Property and Casualty or Personal Lines insurance license or be capable of studying and passing state exams as the initial phase of their employment.
  • One to two years of call center experience (or equivalent customer service experience) required
  • Must possess a valid Georgia driver’s license or state issued identification.
  • Ability to handle confidential information, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to relate to and work with various people in a professional manner.
  • Strong verbal skills required as this role relies on verbal/non-visual communication
  • Computer skills and abilities are necessary.
  • Must be capable of developing skills and knowledge of specified product lines and offered services.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (occasional evenings and Saturdays)
  • Must be able to receive, analyze, and interpret client data, coverages, regulations, instructions, manuals, and other documents as required.
