  • Job DescriptionJob DescriptionResponsible for engaging and providing an exceptional customer service experience. The employee must quickly build ongoing customer relationships and become a trusted advisor by utilizing advanced selling skills and knowledge (including cross-selling of products and services) to meet the customer's needs.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (include the following):Greet walk-in customers promptly and courteously

Respond quickly and professionally to customer inquiries (patients and referral sources), both in the store and on the phone, with regard to appropriateness, availability, and coverage guidelines of equipment/supplies.
Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent knowledge of the equipment we sell, its care and maintenance, and the types of customers to whom we sell and their needs.
Be able to solicit sales of new or additional products or services by suggesting additional
follow-up items relative to the patient's diagnosis.When appropriate, demonstrate products and discuss services to improve company revenues.
Assist clients in finding equipment that best meets their individual needs in a timely manner, that meets funding criteria and results in full and timely payment.
Enter all documentation in the computer system accurately on a daily basis as required.
Open new customer computer accounts and complete required documents/insurance verification before passing on account to customer service liaison, billing department or delivery department.
Knowledge of rules and regulations of OSHA, DOT, Medicare, accrediting bodies and other agencies as they impact the care and distribution of HME.
Understand and practice the rules regarding patient confidentiality, HIPAA and compliance, and safety.
Coordinate the delivery, set-up and pick-up of equipment, supplies and services.
Collect all co-pays, deductible or full amounts when setup or sale is done and complete cash/credit card transactions accurately and according to company procedure.
Assist with stocking the store daily, including putting stock either on display or in the proper storage. This may include processing receiving and packing slips, invoice documentation and pricing.
Creatively maintain store and window displays of merchandise.
Accurately and efficiently create the appropriate delivery, billing and collection paperwork.
Adhere to all state and federally mandated documentation standards.
Assist with physical inventory as required.
Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed
EDUCATION AND/OR CERTIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or GED required
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:1+ years of related experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience)
Advanced computer skills; pharmacy operations system experience preferred
Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
Great attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines
Quality minded; motivated to seek out errors and inquire when something appears inaccurate
