The Sanctuary Golf Club, a prestigious member-owned private golf club located on Sanibel Island, FL is open and accepting applications for seasonal Servers to start immediately. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for full-time or part-time hours now through the end of season in early May 2023.

Servers are responsible for upholding the standards of The Sanctuary by providing members and guests with the finest service with regards to appearance, presentation and attention to detail. Must consistently demonstrate friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, obliging and attentive service to members and guest in all areas of the Club, including the dining room, banquet and outdoor seating spaces.

We offer an attractive and competitive compensation and benefits package for our full-time and part-time seasonal staff:

• 
  COMPENSATION: Base hourly rate, plus share of gratuity. Total compensation typically between $25 - $40/hr.

HIRING BONUS: $500 bonus paid after minimum number of hours are worked.

HOURS: Flexibility is required. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.

  Report to line-up on time and in a clean and complete uniform
• Set up side stations and perform assigned side work
• Provide immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating
• Regularly use members' names
• Answer any questions in relation to menus, specials, wines or cocktails
• Take members' and guests' orders; suggestive sell food/beverage items and place orders in POS system in a timely manner
• Ensure that all charges to member accounts are accurate and complete
• Place orders with kitchen, inform cooks of any special cooking instructions, preferences or allergies
• Communicate with all staff (kitchen and service) to create an even flow of service
• Serve meals; place dishes by courses appropriately in front of each person
• Check back to ensure member and guest satisfaction; replenish water and butter as necessary
• Present dessert menus, suggest and serves dessert, coffee and after dinner drinks
• Remove soiled dishes, keep tables, dining room and bus station areas clean
• Advise management of any complaints as soon as they occur
• Perform clean-up, closing tasks and other duties as assigned by management
• Attend pre-meal and staff meetings as requested by management

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Required to stand for long periods throughout shifts and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach
• Push, pull, lift, move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to lift and carry trays of food and beverage
• Ability to endure abundant physical movements in carrying out job duties for extended periods, including moving large tables and chairs
• Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position
• Work in hot, humid and noisy kitchen environment
