As an integral member of the Learning and Development team you will enable our ability to deliver best in class clinical educational content while ensuring compliance for the delivery of safe patient care for our clinical teams. You will be responsible for the development, coordination, and administration of a range of learning activities and projects. You will have the ability to create content from the ground up as well as coordinate and implementation training programs. You will work closely with the Office of our Chief Medical Officer and the Clinical Operations team, various subject matter experts, operational business partners and trainers to develop and implement content. This role reports directly to Director of Learning and Development.

How you can make a difference

  • Partner with Medical Directors, Clinical documentation, and Quality teams to develop curriculum strategy and continuing education opportunities
  • Collaborate with Medical Directors, Instructional design, and SME’s to produce accurate and meaningful training materials
  • Utilize adult learning principles translate complex clinical content into various formats for educational deployment
  • Manage enterprise-wide new hire and CME curriculum for all physicians and Advance Practice Professionals.
  • Ensure regional standardization of training program delivery
  • In partnership with talent development create quality programs and competency metrics to evaluate trainers to assure quality, effectiveness, and consistency in teaching approaches
  • Support program management of the Super User Program to provide updated EMR documentation based on releases and workflow updates
  • Analyze trends from feedback, evaluations, site assessments, audits and due diligence activities to determine educational needs
  • Manage regulatory components of our continuing education programs
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create innovative, interactive, and efficient educational content incorporating a blended learning approach
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice, and methods to provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Responsible for all components of content development including program management, needs assessment, design, and development, and working with facilitators to ensure successful implementation
  • Create diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments to measure learning outcomes.
  • Contribute to building and sustaining a continuous learning culture

Skills for Success

  • Experience with distilling clinical information at an operational level to effect change
  • Proven working experience designing and developing learning content in a healthcare environment with a firm understanding of ADDIE course development model
  • Demonstrated organizational and project management skills, with ability to deliver quality projects
  • Strong background in successfully formulating, implementing, and monitoring educational programs
  • Demonstrated achievement with change management and education related to quality improvement initiatives
  • Experience performing under pressure, attention to detail, and a commitment to doing what you say you will do
  • Solution-oriented and have a passion for being hands-on in problem-solving and execution
  • Self-starter with strong communication skills who maintains a high sense of urgency and accountability in delivering measurable results in line with agreed upon timeframes
  • Develop innovative approaches that incorporate industry trends and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, thrive in a fast-paced environment and absorb information quickly.
  • Ability to travel (10%)

Experience to drive change

  • Bachelor’s degree in Learning and Development, Human Resources, Business, Healthcare or applicable experience
  • 1-3 years experience working in learning and development with content writing preferred
  • Experience developing physician or leadership educational content
  • Willingness to learn and understand medical terminology, medical protocol and guideline development
  • Course development experience for multiple formats including ILT, vILT.
  • Strong project management skills
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Continually strives to improve their knowledge through formal education, attendance at workshops and conferences
  • Actively participates in professional and related organization meetings and reading

For Colorado Residents only: The target hiring compensation range for this role is $78,000 to $98,000. At VillageMD, compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. This role may be eligible for annual/quarterly bonus incentives (if applicable), and the selected candidate will be eligible for a valuable company benefits plan, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401k plan with company match.
