B&A has an immediate position available in its Miami Office for a Senior Civil Engineer in South Florida with experience in design and permitting of Civil Engineering design projects. Candidates must have the ability to perform various project tasks and make a meaningful contribution to our multi-disciplinary team of Architects, Engineers, and Planners.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning, assignment, and supervision of professional and technical staff.

• Civil engineering design including paving, signing and pavement markings, site grading, and drainage, utilities, pump stations, water, and sanitary sewer systems.

• Experience with local, state and federal codes and design practices.

• Preparation of water management calculations and preparation of permit application and packages to regulatory agencies for Environmental Resource Permits (ERP), including DERM, SFWMD, Broward County, FDOT, USCOE, FWS and FDEP.

• Experience in permitting of water and wastewater systems through WASD.

• Managing civil design projects (municipal and FDOT) in the above areas from initiation to completion, including post-design and construction workeragement services as required

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education – Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering

• License Required – State of Florida Professional Registration (P.E.)

• Experience – 10 to 15 years design/project management experience in the delineated areas as a Project Manager, Engineer-of-Record and/or team leader

• A working knowledge of AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred), MS Office Suite and MS Project

• Experience with piping design software such as Innovize, WaterCAD or similar preferred.

• Experience with drainage design software like ICPR, Cascade, HydraCAD or similar preferred.

• Experience with coastal resilience and sea level rise issues a plus.

• Verbal and writing skills, work well in teams.
