As a Senior Data Engineer, you will build end-to-end analytical solutions that are highly scalable, performant, secure, and resilient. You rely on sound judgement, critical thinking, and creativity to deliver customer focused data solutions that create meaningful business impact. You are experienced with various patterns of data ingestion, processing, and curation. You understand criticality of data quality, security & governance practices and are adept at it. You design solutions with strategic and long-term focus on code quality, reliability, reusability, maintainability and data ops. You are experienced in building efficient and scalable data services.
The ideal candidate for this position would be a passionate pioneer in technology, a solutions builder, a roll-up-your-sleeves technologist who wants a daily collaborative environment, think-tank feel and shares new ideas with his/her colleagues to help design, plan, and implement the future of cloud data technologies and databases for production workloads that supports all different aspects of a global retail business such as e-commerce, store commerce, merchandizing & supply chain

A Day in the Life:

The typical day is… atypical. You might be designing, implementing and leading efforts to optimize data & analytics platforms to ensure data security, integrity, performance and availability. You will be using deep hands on experience, work with product engineering teams to architect the future of Tory Burch data and analytics platform strategy. Additionally, you may be using expert data modeling experience to recommend how data should be structure to make it accessible, performant and resilient to change. The consistent thread is that you'll be working with an amazing team of women and men who share your passion for excellence.

To Land This Role:

• 5-7 years of experience in designing and building data solutions and platforms
• Should have more than 4 years of cloud experience with at least 3 years on architecting and building data lakes /data warehouses / data pipelines / AI & ML solutions
• Enterprise experience with GCP services like storage & database, data processing and Big Query, Cloud SQL
• Experience in Bigtable, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Dataflow, Data proc, Data prep, Data Studio, Bigtable, Cloud Storage, file store, Cloud VM, Composer, App engine, GKE or similar cloud experience
• Strong knowledge about Cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, Azure (at least with one – GCP is proffered)
• Experience with batch and stream processing (including GCP Dataflow/Kafka Streams/Spark)
• Programming experience in Python, Java, Scala (at least one of these)
• Experience with microservice patterns, API development, RESTful web services
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience in building CI/CD pipeline and automating deployment process
• Familiarity or experience with data mining and statistical modeling (e.g., regression modeling, clustering techniques, decision trees, etc.)
• Exposure to Network services like Cloud CDN / DNS / IDS / NAT / Interconnect / VPN / VPC etc.
