Senior Engineer, Global Engineering Projects Job at Quaker Houghton
Position Summary
Develops project plans and cost estimates for a variety of capital projects to support assorted business and functional groups on a global basis. Manages, coordinates and assists in the execution of major and minor projects in conjunction with local resources as well as through outside contractors. Assists local sites globally with engineering needs.
Job Accountabilities
- Develops design solutions, project plans and cost estimates for both capital and process changes.
- Works with sites as needed to support the maintenance department and preventive maintenance programs.
- Sets technical objectives, coordinating with Research and Technology on improving manufacturing process operating conditions to meet customer needs.
- Manages contractors and vendors when working on equipment installations, modifications, and upgrades.
- Manages capital budgets for projects as needed.
- Understands, defines and provides guidance in the global engineering process, maintenance and equipment usage standards to adapted to QH needs.
- Provide production support including troubleshooting of process operating conditions, conducting special tests, and developing reports.
Education, Experience, Skills & Competencies
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering preferred, will also consider Mechanical Engineering and other Engineering disciplines with suitable experience.
- A minimum of 8-10 years of experience working in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment
- Capital Project execution management
- Demonstrated HAZOP experience
- Knowledge of main Engineering Industry Standards and OSHA
- Project Engineering Management
- Process Hazard Analysis, Process Safety Management, HAZOP
- Safe start Safety Training OR equivalent Behavioral Based Safety Training
- Auto CAD LT
- Experience in a production plant environment
