Summary
The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the continued maintenance and development of ACORE Capital’s commercial real estate loan origination and asset management platform. This position involves collaborating with business users and product managers to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies. The Senior Software Engineer is a 100% remote position but must work in the PST time zone, and reports to the Director of Software Development in our Larkspur office which will be moving to San Francisco in early Q3.
Responsibilities
· Be a pro-active business partner and liaise with various functional users across multiple business units to understand their issues and requirements, identify opportunities for process improvement and IT solutions.
· Ensure that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
· Maintain application databases and implement solutions to ensure business operational continuity.

Skills:
· Advanced skillset in C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Microsoft SQL Server
· At least 4 years of experience in software engineering (internship experience does not apply)
· Experience with SQL database design, SQL query performance tuning, SQL profiling, CSS 3, jQuery, Bootstrap, ASP.NET MVC, and/or ASP.NET Web API is preferable
· Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
· Comfortable providing estimates on software development efforts, and self-managing time and focus to meet those estimates as much as possible
· Strong sense of personal accountability and a proven track record of achieving desired results
