Requirements:

  • Professional Engineer in New Hampshire, with reciprocity available throughout Northeast. Professional Structural Engineer in States where discipline is required (e.g.Vermont).
  • 5+ years of full-time professional experience in building structural design, with exposure to other building engineering and science disciplines (e.g. architecture, envelope, mechanical) a plus. Experience should include new building design and existing building analysis. We are building renovation experts.
  • Intimate knowledge relevant building codes and standards for all building materials and components: steel, wood, concrete, masonry, and cold-formed steel; gravity, lateral, and foundation systems.
  • Proficient with structural design software such as STAAD or RISA. Experience with Revit a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Project and client manager. We work for architects, design-build contractors, property managers, building/homeowners, and associations.
  • Perform quality assurance on calculations and plans. Act as the structural engineer of record on the majority of our structural design projects.
  • Coach and manage a staff of 5+ engineers performing design and analysis. Coach and inspire younger staff to develop. Manage company workload for all structural projects.
  • Perform feasibility studies and consultations with written reports. Help building owners understand their buildings, and the opportunity to renovate.
  • Solicit new clients, develop business, and prepare proposals. Network with colleagues through professional and technical societies.
  • Engage directly with clients, contractors, and industry colleagues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
