The Nevada Automotive Test Center (NATC) is currently seeking talented candidates for a Senior Engineering Test Technician at our Silver Springs, NV location.

NATC?s location in the great basin of Nevada allows our team to access terrain that can represent 85% of the world within a 150 mile radius, providing an excellent test bed for off-road mobility. NATC?s operational area includes 1200 sq. miles of natural terrain, that when coupled with 6,200 acres of privately owned test courses, create an unparalleled testing area available to our engineers to innovate and solve our customer?s problems.
Position Summary:
Works under the direct supervision of a Project/Test Engineer and/or the Program Manager. Assists and supports in the planning and conducting of tests, maintenance of test records and preparation of final reports. Often operates test and support vehicles. Supports failure analysis of mechanical and/or electrical vehicle subsystems. Responsible for documentation of test procedures followed, findings and the generation of reports.
Essential Functions:
- Support test operation and data collection.
- Input data into computer using spreadsheets, word processing and database software.
- Process and maintain files of drivers? logs, test finding reports and project correspondence.
- Perform basic test review, and present results to Test Engineer/Program Manager.
- Support data analysis and report generation.
- Assist in instrumentation, installation, and preparation of the vehicle for testing.
- Assist Test Engineers or Program Managers in planning, staffing and documenting results of vehicle tests.
- Schedule work shifts and test courses to meet requirements for vehicle tests.
- Facilitate flow of internal requests and documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
