The Setup Crew will routinely inventory and care for banquet supplies such as linens, chairs, china, glassware, flatware and decorations. The Houseman will have primary responsibility for the set up rooms for banquets, events, meetings, etc. per the specification of a banquet events order; break down, clean-up and reset for the next event. Other duties include assisting servers and runners during events, transporting tables and equipment, tending to minor maintenance issues and reporting more significant maintenance issues to management.

On a daily basis, the Houseman will tend to the general cleanliness and organization of the entire Clubhouse, including parking lots, grounds, service and storage areas as well as dining and banquet rooms. Routine trash removal, interior and exterior cleaning and deep cleaning will be part of regularly assigned tasks.

The Houseman may be asked by management to engage in duties that are related to the position even though they are not routine. These include helping assemble temporary dance floors, podiums and other structures and assisting audio-visual personnel in setting up equipment like speakers and monitors. In some cases, the Houseman may also be tasked with helping transport food, beverages, decorations and equipment to an off-premises event location.
Houseman may need to assist with pressure washing, cleaning reachable windows, buff and vacuum floors. Housekeeping tasks to maintain cleaning standards, including clean up spills or checking on and touch-up cleaning of bathrooms will be required.
