The Family Crisis Center, Inc. is looking for two part-time Victims Advocates at the Domestic Violence Shelter. Shifts are from 6PM to 8AM both weekend and weekday shifts are avilable.
- Effectively answer crisis hot line to provide education, advocacy, and referrals.
- Demonstrate a professional attitude in dealing with clients, staff, and other professionals.
- Complete initial intake and exit procedures.
- Be able to maintain working relationship with client while providing necessary services to help clients reach their goals.
- Facilitate group and individual advocacy services.
- Assist shelter residents with daily living and parenting activities
- Refer to community resources and services necessary for shelter residents and their children
- Ensure accurate documentation including case note documentation.
- Ensure compliance with agency/shelter policies and procedures.
- Complete assigned night or weekend duties.
- Maintain the enforcement of Shelter Guidelines.
- Assist in the orientation of new staff and volunteers.
- Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
- Attend and participate regularly in case consultation with staff.
