Cheba what? Yes, we are Cheba Hut, the original pot themed “toasted” sub shop that has been slangin’ sandwiches, and delicious munchies for the past 20 years. We didn’t get here because of luck or gimmicks, we got here by prioritizing our food, and our people (both crew and customers alike); making Cheba Hut not just a place to work, or eat, but a destination. As a Shift Lead you are responsible for not just leading your team, but for driving the daily operations of your shop, and for carrying out long term plans, and goals as well. And beyond simply leading your team to carry out those plans and goals, you are responsible for recruiting team members, developing them through established training procedures, and coaching and fostering their talent and growth. Administrative and financial responsibilities are also key components to our in-shop leadership roles. Completing required reporting, managing costs (food, labor, etc.), and building relationships for growth are all expected at Cheba Hut. Overall, we want you to give a damn about all aspects of the Cheba Hut shop life, and to hustle—go above and beyond the expectations of your team, your customers, and us.

Required Experience, Abilities, and Skills:

- Ability to lift to 47lbs
- Ability to work well under physically and mentally stressful situations
- Responsible alcohol service training
- Food safety/handling training (as required by state)
- Consistent access to a working smart phone
- 24-hour accountability
- Good mobility
- Stamina to work a 10-hour shift
- Standing for long periods of time
- Overtime may be required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
