What You’ll Do:

  • Build excellent relationships through strong interpersonal skills and educate on “Why” to influence the advancement of DevOps.
  • Investigate and contribute to solving various issues in production environments.
  • Drive infrastructure as code adoption.
  • Deployment of software releases.
  • Proactively analyze and contribute improvements to support deployment processes.
  • Be a catalyst for continuous improvement of our production environments.
  • Provide collaboration as a conduit between various technical and non-technical teams.
  • Partner with the development teams to improve system quality.
  • Build effective monitoring, alerts, and metrics for production services.
  • Provide configuration management for production applications.

What you’ll need:

  • Minimum 5+ years of site reliability experience in a SaaS environment.
  • Proven technical and functional problem-solving, tracking, and resolution skills.
  • Expert with cloud environments (AWS professional certification preferred).
  • Strong knowledge and experience working in Linux/Unix environment.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with Identity Access Management (OKTA, IAM).
  • Knowledge and experience working with Kubernetes in AWS (AWS EKS)
  • Experience working with distributed data store (Apache Kafka, Amazon MSK).
  • Experience with centralized logging solutions (Splunk, Elk, etc.).
  • Experience working in orchestration tools (Apache Nifi)
  • Knowledge of active monitoring (Datadog, Dynatrace, etc.).
  • Experience building enterprise level disaster recovery.
  • Experience implementing security best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.).
  • Experience with a modern programming language (python, Java etc.).
  • Experience with SQL and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Understanding of git.
  • Knowledge of networking principles such as firewalls, load balancing, routing and switching.
  • Knowledge of horizontal and vertical scaling best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly visible, changing environment.
  • Excellent collaboration skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically.
  • Works with a sense of urgency in high pressure environment and demonstrates the ability to effectively respond to issues during emergency situations.
  • Time/task management and organization skills to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated business environment.
  • Strong customer service skills combined with the ability to interface effectively and establish quick credibility with enterprise business leaders.
  • Work well in a virtual team environment with strong collaboration skills.
  • Technical self-starter and self-directed.
  • Enthusiasm for team-oriented project work.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

Compensation: $150k - $160K based on experience
