Purpose

Heartland’s Software Sales Professional generates and self-sources new Point of Sale (POS) sales opportunities in the Restaurant and Retail space. With their extensive product knowledge and understanding of industry trends, the sales professional will communicate directly with customers and prospects, understand their business’s unique needs, and recommend solutions to satisfy that needs. RM focused on POS essentials may also assist in developing their own personal sales strategies. This position requires adaptability, software knowledge, solution-selling ability, resilience, and strong communication skills. You'll join a passionate, growth-oriented sales team on a mission to enhance the buyer experience and provide prospective clients with a deep understanding of Heartlands POS solutions and the value they could bring to their business.

This is a full-time, commission-only sales opportunity.

Essential Duties:

  • Using a consultative solution-based sales approach, you will prospect, build relationships, and sign up new entry-level SMB restaurateurs/retailers across the nation
  • Perform all aspects of selling professionally, including prospecting, presenting, handling objections, closing, and follow-up
  • Deliver consistent performance against quota on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis within the SMP segment (roughly defined as customers with >5 locations and >$2.5M in annual total gross merchant volume, most small business prospects)
  • Build a monthly Sales Pipeline that is at least three times what your quota is to support the assigned quota volume. Accomplish this through self-sourced outbound lead development and working closely with other field teammates.
  • Develop partner relationships and leverage industry influencers, consultants, existing customers, and others to identify business opportunities
  • Leverage Atlas (our CRM) to manage all sales activities. This should include active and ongoing documentation of activities, next steps, forecasting, and any information that impacts the decision-making process
  • Partner closely with Customer Success to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the lifecycle and to drive continued growth and expansion with enterprise accounts
  • Provide ongoing feedback to our product team to help shape features and product enhancements in line with SMB account needs
  • Serve as a leader on the Sales Team by coaching, mentoring, and setting a positive example for fellow Sales Team members
  • Consistently meet or exceed revenue quota assignment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience that includes:
  • Experience selling SaaS, IT hardware or software is a plus
  • Proven track record in prospecting, qualifying, and closing accounts
  • Experience selling into the Point-of-Sale, Restaurant, or Hospitality space is strongly desired

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
