Specialist - Utah Lake NSF Project Student Peer Mentor (Part-Time, Variable Hour) Job at Utah Valley University
The NSF Funded Utah Lake Project seeks a peer mentor at Utah Valley University (UVU) from May 9th to July 1st, 2023. This position is funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) for the project “Undergraduate Preparation through Multidisciplinary Service Learning at Utah Lake” led by Dr. Eddy Cadet in the Earth Science Department. The selected candidate will work with five faculty members to mentor 12 UVU undergraduate students from different disciplines.
The main tasks for this position include but not limited to the following:
Guide undergraduate students in research;- Facilitate undergraduate students professional growth;
- Promote the project on different social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
- Arrange team meetings and relevant project/outreach events;
- Organize and manage project data, and maintain the project website.
Currently enrolled in a graduate study program or a Master degree from an accredited institution.
