Shift/s Available for this Position:
A shift (Monday through Friday) 6:50 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manager MRB (Containment) Cage
  • Performs daily audits of items located in the containment cage (i.e., run RW stockroom reports)
  • Schedules and hold daily MRB (Containment) meetings with CFT members for review of items contained
  • Performs in-process inspections, final inspections and receiving inspection activities to support Supplier component evaluation as outlined in standards (i.e., Receiving Inspection Standards, Inspection check sheets, Measurlink etc.) using basic inspection instruments and/or techniques including Visual inspections.
  • May verify inspection equipment to ensure its accuracy.
  • Participates in sorting and rework of non-conformances. May also include support to external sorting team not limited writing instructions and monitoring activity.
  • Prepares and processes inspection acceptance or rejection paperwork.
  • Utilize effective communications and problem-solving skills to foster an effective team environment which continually strives for safety, quality, organizational, product, productivity, and improvements.
  • Perform other responsibilities as directed by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
  • Hands on individual that has worked in fast paced production environment performing quality checks. Experience in an automotive environment preferred.
  • Ability to utilize inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauge.
  • ISO 14001 and/or IATF 16949 environment preferred.
  • Utilize effective communication, teamwork, problem solving, and organization skills to foster an effective team environment which continually strives for safety, quality, organizational, product, productivity, and improvements.
  • Requires ability to work both independently and effectively within a team environment to ensure individual and departmental objectives are accomplished.
  • Ability to input data. Computer experience preferred.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color vision.
  • Ability to lift and/or transport 25 lbs and utilize proper lifting techniques and safety guidelines.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk. The employee occasionally is required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position works in a warehouse/production environment. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

The performance of this position requires exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment.
