POSITION PURPOSE / SUMMARY STATEMENT (defines the major functions/purpose of the position):


The Sr. Director of Information Technology for ASICS North America manages all technology-related operations and development for the Americas Region as defined in the responsibilities below. This individual is responsible for efficiently processing all functional, network, and communication systems. He/she sets and implements the strategic technology direction to support the business as defined by the Executive Team.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (include titles of positions directly reporting to this position):


  • Director of IT, ASICS North America
  • Sr. Manager, RES1 (Regional Enterprise Support)
  • Sr. Manager, RES2 (Regional Enterprise Support)
  • Sr. Manager, Infrastructure, Operations, and Security

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Interacts with all levels throughout the organization, including employees and outside vendors

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Directs the development of short and long-range objectives, budgets and operating plans and oversees their consistent interpretation, implementation, and achievement for the IT Department
  • Conducts research on emerging technologies; recommends and implements technologies that will optimize performance, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and flexibility
  • Develops and manages applications and infrastructure plans to meet business requirements and goals. Documents and maintains in-depth knowledge of the company’s existing IT architecture/infrastructure and technology portfolio
  • Measures and reports infrastructure performance reliability, and application of SLAs as defined in partnership with the business
  • Ensures stability of all technical resources in support of daily business requirements in wholesale, retail, and web environments across the North American region
  • Ensures appropriate licensing base and maintenance agreements with all service and platform providers
  • Drives prioritization of programs and projects based on alignment with enterprise and or departmental objectives
  • Reviews new and existing IT projects, systems design, and procurement/outsourcing plans for compliance with IT standards and architectural plans
  • Plans and adheres to budget for all IT disciplines
  • Provides support, coaching, and training to the IT team
  • Collaborates with digital strategy, e-commerce, JSOX (Japanese Sarbanes-Oxley Act), ITGC (Information Technology General Controls), CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act), SAP, integrations, project management, change management, business intelligence, master Data, and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) teams to determine better systems solutions and processes within the ASICS America region to improve long-term IT needs

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of compliance with all related government, SOX/JSOX, and GDPR/CCPA requirements. Stay current with the legal and fiscal environment
  • Knowledge of protocols and standards, including but not limited to: Security, Cisco Networks, IP/VPN, SD-WAN, Windows Server/Active Directory/Exchange, and Unified Communications
  • Analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities leveraging critical thinking
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, business processes, POS systems, ERPs architecture, and functionalities
  • Experience in implementing and supporting an ERP environment (SAP and TOTVS)
  • Business relationship development
  • Business Acumen

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 12 years supporting infrastructure and functional environments
  • Minimum of 12 years holding leadership positions within IT
  • Proven, demonstrated success within IT leadership
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Information Technology required
  • Proven project planning and project management experience
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

SALARY RANGE: $190,000 - $210,000 USD annualized


PAY TRANSPARENCY:
