School Special Education Secretary

Mullen Hall School

SS I 37.5 hours/week 11 month- 214 days/year

(includes 15 days before school begins and 15 days after school ends)


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma with postgraduate secretarial study preferred.
  • Familiarity with Special Education/Special Education law and esped preferred.
  • High level of technical skills including typing of 60 words per minute and familiarity with a variety of office machines.
  • Proficiency with computer applications and technology.
  • Ability to serve the public, faculty, and students in professional, efficient, and pleasing manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Well-organized and adept at organizational procedures.
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may deem appropriate and acceptable.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide clerical support to the Principal and Principal’s secretary.

Manage office routines pertaining to mail, telephone, attendance, homework requests, correspondence, and filing systems.

Handle reports and materials concerning the operation of the office.

Assist with correspondence, reports, and notices when requested.

Perform a variety of secretarial duties.

Perform such other tasks as may from time to time be assigned by the Principal.

Principal, Assistant Principal, Special Education Buidling Administrator


Salary:
In accordance with Secretarial contract.
